Red Wagon Parade: Walk with us! The College Park High School Red Wagon Homecoming Parade will be held October 12th at Woodforest Bank Stadium. This year’s parade theme is “New York State of Mind.” Powell Elementary will have a float in the parade and all students are invited to walk with the float. Join other Powell students and staff at the north end of the stadium at 5:30 p.m. and wear a purple or Powell shirt. Students who walk with the float will receive a coupon for a popsicle that may be enjoyed during recess. Concessions will be closed at the stadium but Kona Ice will be there. We hope to see you there!
Storybook Parade: Our Storybook Parade is this Friday, October 14. Children are encouraged to dress up as a favorite story book character. Your child should bring the book that includes the character he/she is portraying. No ghosts, witches, or goblins please. Students will parade through the gym with their classes at 8:30 a.m. In an effort to keep children safe in our hallways and on our parade route, we ask that parents be seated in the gym by 8:25 a.m. For your convenience, please enter the building in the back through the gym doors. When the parade has ended, please exit the building through the back doors also. Parade guests will not be allowed in the hallways. If you need to come into the building after the parade, please enter through the front and follow the normal check-in-procedures. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you.
CISD Fun Run: The annual CISD Fun Run will take place October 25. It is open to students in grades 3-6. The one-mile run will start at 4:00p.m. and take place at College Park and The Woodlands High School.
