Election Day: Powell Elementary is a polling place for Election Day, November 8th. On that day we are expecting a large amount of voter traffic. Parents, on Election Day we ask that you refrain from coming to join your child at school for lunch and avoid late arrivals and early checkouts if possible. Our priority is student safety; therefore we feel it is our responsibility to minimize traffic in our classroom areas. As always, if your child is celebrating a birthday please let us know so that we can make accommodations.

Daylight Savings Time: Do not forget to set your clocks back an hour before bed Saturday night! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Kendra Scott Fundraiser: Join us Thursday, November 10 for a Spirit Night at Kendra Scott on Market Street and get a head start on holiday shopping! Enjoy sips, sweets and jewels from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 20% of all sales benefit Powell Elementary. Phone in orders are accepted as long as you mention it is for the Powell Elementary fundraiser.

PTO News: Our Lost and Found continues to grow. Jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles, roller blades, hair accessories, helmets, and more! Please have your children collect their lost items from the racks and box located in the Activity  room. All items remaining will be dontaed the week of Christmas break.

4th Grade yearbook recognition ad forms went home last week. Deadline is November 18th. Orders are processed on a first come first serve basis so do not delay in getting your order form turned in, Please direct all questions to yearbook@powellpto.org.
