Those students who have not been absent or tardy the 2nd nine weeks of school will be treated to a special pep rally at College Park High School. The pep rally will take place on Friday, January 20rd at 9:30. We will be boarding buses at 9:00 a.m. at Powell and travel to the high school for the celebration. We will return at approximately 10:30 AM. If your child earned a N.E.A.T. award, a note will come home with them in their M.O.O.S.E. binder. Food Fair: Please see the attached flyer for more information about the upcoming Food Fair at Grangerland Elementary January 14th sponsored by the Montgomery County Food Bank. The food fair will bring fresh produce, bread, pastry and assorted grocery products to help those in need of food.

Boosterthon: Greetings Powell Elementary Parents! We are excited to be hosting the Boosterthon Fun Run for the 7th time to help us achieve our fundraising goals for the year. The Boosterthon Fun Run is a fun, nine-day character, fitness and leadership program that combines world-class and engaging character content with a fundraising event for our school. This year we are raising funds for playground repairs, tutoring, and much more. Thank You ahead of time for your support.

Parents and Community Partners, we need your help! Each student will be provided with a FREE custom Powell Elementary t-shirt to wear the day of the Fun Run event. This is at no cost to the students. We are hoping to partner with community businesses to off-set the costs of the shirts. We need a commitment from all sponsors by December 16, 2016 in order to have the business logos printed on the shirts.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Boosterthon Fun Run T-Shirts! If you have any questions, please contact Becky Harel at
