Last Day to turn in Boxtops for Education

Note from Mrs. Garrison: We have many students missing school for various reasons including falling ill due to the continual change in temperatures. We ask that all families work to have their kids at school each and every day. It makes a tremendous difference in their performance in each class. We want all of our students to be successful and attendance is the number one indicator of success.

Please help your child and everyone at the school by being here each day. We will be closely monitoring your child’s attendance, and letters will be sent to parents if your child’s absences begin to accumulate.

Thank you for your help on this important matter.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed for the spring Book Fair. All volunteers will get a $5 gift certificate to use at the fair! The book fair cannot operate without help from parents. This is a really fun event for the students and earns money and books for the school library!! Please use this link to sign up:

Clinic Happenings from Nurse Jean:

Illness we have seen this week: Strep Throat – with/without sore throat, with/without fever, with/without nausea. Flu A – fever, cough, congestion, general achiness and headache.

Friendly Reminders from Nurse Jean: We have seen an increase in flu cases this week across the district. Please encourage your child to wash their hands frequently throughout the day and to cover their coughs and sneezes in an effort to prevent the spread of illness. It is district policy that students must be fever free (less than 100 degrees) without the aid of Tylenol or Motrin prior to returning to school. Students are considered contagious for up to 24 hours after a fever.

Please do not hesitate to call the clinic if you have any questions. Our direct number is 936-709-1709.
