From the Registrar: If you have moved, please contact our Registrar, Michelle Lutes at mlutes@conroeisd.net. We must have your current address in our records to ensure you receive your childs final report card. If you plan to move over the summer, please contact our Registrar, Michelle Lutes at mlutes@conroeisd.net as well. We have two simple one page forms for you to complete to ensure a smooth transition to your childs next school.

Conroe ISD is moving to a new records system and we will no longer be sending year end or beginning of year paper forms for parents to complete and return. You will be receiving an email over the summer requesting your students information be updated electronically, so please look out for it before the next school year. We are very excited to be able to offer this new more efficient process!

STAAR Scores: Stay informed of your childs grades and plan ahead to view you childs STAAR scores. STAAR score will only be accessible through Parent Access. To create a Parent Access Account please visit Conroeisd.net and click on the Parents/Students tab. Under Resources for Parents, choose Parent Access Center. You will then choose Register. You will need your childs student ID number to create an account. You must apply separately for each of your children but you will be able to use the same login and password for all of your children.

Yearbooks: Extra yearbooks will be sold the morning of May 26th starting at 7:30 a.m. on the front porch. Extra books will be $40, cash or check only. Books will be sold on a first come first served basis. There will be no early sales and no holds. If you preordered a yearbook, you received an email receipt from Jostens at the time of ordering. Please check your email if you are unsure of your order. All questions should be directed to Marilyn Koester at yearbook@powellpto.org.

Summer School: Time for Summer School registration! Please find our district’s information attached for our 2017 Summer School Programs. Conroe ISD Summer School includes a Kid Quest Academic Course and two Kid Quest Enrichment Courses that are tuition based. Applications can be completed online at: www.cisdkidquest.com.

Please see attached flyer for details on dates, times and tuition fees.

*Prerequisite for Kids’ Voice: A CISD Student Newscast: Your child must be currently identified as Gifted and Talented to register for this course. Please contact the Assistant Principal, Sarah Radford, if you are unsure of your childs GT status.

Texas Honor Roll School: After an extensive analysis of student data for every public school in Texas, Powell Elementary was a clear leader in getting students to grade level and beyond and has been named an Honor Roll school for the 2016 Texas Honor Roll.  The 2016 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.
