Donuts with Dudes:Â Please join us for “Donuts with Dudes” on Friday, September 23rd and from 7:15am to 8:00am. Students can bring their favorite “Dude” with them to enjoy a donut, coffee and juice in our Gym. To ensure that we have enough donuts to serve everyone that attends, we recommend that your student eat a small breakfast at home that morning, since we will only be serving one donut, per person. We can’t wait to see you there!
Lunch at School:Â We have limited space in the cafeteria due to increased enrollment this year. We kindly ask that parents limit lunch time visits to special occasions such as student birthdays. We thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter.
Clinic Happenings from Nurse Jean:
Illness we have seen this week:
- Strep Throat:Â We have seen a marked increase in the number of strep throat cases reported this week. Symptoms include sore throat, with/without nausea, with/without fever. Â Please encourage hand washing with your child. It is the number one way to prevent the spread of illness.
Friendly Reminders from Nurse Jean:
- Students must be fever free (under 100.0) for 24 hours without the aid of Tylenol or Motrin before returning to school.
- All medications must be brought to the clinic by a parent or guardian and a permission slip must be signed for each medication to be given. This includes cough drops and other over the counter medications. Students are not allowed to transport medications to and from school.
Please donât hesitate to call the clinic if you have any questions. Our direct number is 936-709-1709.
